Michael Moore's next movie

Michael Moore's got a new film coming out in about a month......

BTW, if you haven't seen it, Sicko, is a great view and all about the very same healthcare issues that are making the news every night. Might even be a freeby at your local library. Check it out.

I know MM is biased and doesn't always give the other side a fair shake, but who says he has to? He doesn't really make documentaries. These are films with an agenda and, especially since I often agree with him, that's A-OK.

RR

Saw another roadrunner this morning! Over by the pool! Quick, maybe it's still there! Of course I didn't have my camera with me, but I know you're imaging Warner Bros. cartoons. As well you should, my friends. As well you should.

Second Graders Website

Here is my new website...well, the website for the five second grade teachers at Ellsworth Elementary. I found this free website builder for teachers, so, even though it has ads on the sides and bottom, it's pretty good and allows for more than one page of info.

Give me your feedback and any suggestions if you like.

Duh, here is the link -

A Cop Walks into a Doughnut shop...and buys it!

Hey Michiganders!
Lila's friend Ann (who is here in AZ) sent an email regarding the cops in Clare, MI who bought the local donut shop (aka bakery). If you are ever in Clare, check it out! Here is an article from the local newpaper: Clare Cops Buy Doughnut Shop. The link to the bakery is here: Cops & Doughnuts.

Duke

Would you believe that we met the Duke on our journeys around Arizona on Sunday? And he generously posed for this photo?

What's that you say? The Duke is no longer with us?

Oh, well he still makes a striking figure.

Found this in an antiques joint on our journeys yesterday.

new biz card

So I was at a networking meeting on Thursday and a terrific graphic designer (Erin) was talking about branding and having a unified look to your collateral materials. So I decided to design a business card that ties in, stylistically with my website. And this is what I came up with. Any thoughts, comments, complaints, suggestions?

By the way, the new cards were necessary because I am almost out of cards, but also because I recently got a local phone number for the business.

Giant Evil Red Dragonfly

Today Dawn and I stopped by the grand opening party at the new Midfirst Bank over at the corner of Rittenhouse and Power. They made a nice presentation/introduction of themselves to the community with food, prizes, and face-painting and balloon animals for the munchkins. So, Midfirst, welcome to the neighborhood.

Upon leaving we spied this gigantic dragonfly enjoying the antenna on Dawn's car.

da moon

Technically, monsoon season has begun here in AZ. No storms, yet, but we have seen some clouds which is a nice change of pace. Even after dark for the moon here.
